Celebrating 10 Years of Impact, and Counting
The 10th Annual Green Youth Indaba took place from 19–20 June 2025 at the Durban International Convention Centre (ICC) in KwaZulu-Natal. Organised by the Green Youth Network, this milestone event marked a decade of youth-led climate action, innovation, and green entrepreneurship in South Africa.
Since its inception in 2015, the Green Youth Indaba has grown into one of South Africa’s leading platforms for empowering young environmental leaders. The 2025 theme, “A Decade of Action: Driving Sustainable Innovation,” reflected the Indaba’s continued commitment to advancing locally driven solutions to global environmental challenges, with youth at the forefront.
This 10th anniversary not only celebrated a decade of impact, but also called for renewed momentum towards environmental justice, job creation, and climate resilience. By bridging policy, practice, and grassroots innovation, the Indaba continued to position South African youth as key drivers in the transition to a low-carbon, resource-efficient, and socially inclusive economy.
