The Green Youth Network Organises a Successful Beach Clean-Up at Dakota Beach ahead of the Green Youth Indaba

Durban, 10 June 2024 – In anticipation of the Green Youth Indaba 2024, the Green Youth Network (GYN) commenced the event series with a highly impactful beach clean-up at Dakota Beach in Durban. The event saw an impressive turnout of over 300 participants, demonstrating the community’s commitment to environmental conservation.

The collaboration with Durban Solid Waste (DSW) ensured efficient waste management, with DSW handling the general waste. Designated trash cans for recyclables were also provided, emphasising the commitment to a sustainable future.

“This beach clean-up is a testament to the power of collective action in fostering a cleaner, greener environment. It sets the stage for the Green Youth Indaba 2024, where we will continue to drive conversations and actions towards a sustainable future,” said Sanele Zulu, CEO and founder of the Green Youth Network.
